It has an old school RPG look to it with a pulpy edge and a few sci-fi elements added in. The content of the random tables includes monsters, NPCs, locks, traps, rumors and much more. The book is rules system neutral medieval fantasy. It is a fun read with great art and page after page of fun and smiles. The book provides a wide array of tables to add spice to any adventure, and it's WEIRD, which is a good thing. Almost every page in this book is a laugh-out-loud piece of creative genius with prompts and hooks that are both comprehensive and useful. The book is not only funny but also contains a lot of implicit world-building implied in random rolls like "mermen training in preparation for amphibious assault on deep dwarf river project." It is a perfect exercise in absurdist humor playing on the tropes of old school D&D.
