The lock box is designed to attach to an existing doorknob and is easy to set up and use. The internal dimensions are 7/8" deep, 2 1/4" wide, and 3 7/8" high. The code combination can be entered randomly as long as the clear button is pressed between each number/symbol. The lock box is completely mechanical and does not use batteries. The yellow Recode Tool can be used to easily change the code. However, some customers have noted that the lock box is too heavy for average door knobs and may eventually break the doorknob. The reset key is made of flimsy plastic and may break from frequent use, and the interior key hook and plastic front plate are not very durable.
