The Phorus PS5 is an indoor speaker that provides wireless music to your home using your Wi-Fi network and the Phorus app on your cell phone. It is easy to set up and has a value proposition of just under $30 for a plug-in speaker supporting internet radio, AirPlay and Bluetooth. However, fundamental limitations make this one fall short. All of the "Music Choices" available do not work on the speaker itself, but instead relies on streaming to the device. The "Transfer to Speaker" functionality supported by some Play-Fi devices is not supported on this unit. It takes forever to boot and firmware is such crap that it will get into "broken" modes that can't be fixed with rebooting, sometimes requiring you to unplug the speaker to restore functionality. WiFi connection is also tricky to establish and unstable. However, some find the sound quality to be excellent Considering the price. **
