While it is not able to strain a lot of almond milk at one time, it is perfect for small quantities. The strainer has a diameter of about 6 inches, and it is about 5 inches deep at the center of the cone. The mesh is very fine, and catches all but the finest particles. The strainer fits perfectly into a canning funnel, making it ideal for straining something into a canning jar.
