Can you see it after you apply it? Could I wear it for times I wasn’t doing sports?

Does the cream leave much residue inside bib shorts? I'm about to do a bike tour & may be unable to wash the chamois pad thoroughly every day.

Does it have a good use by date? Having to buy 2 tubes at once could lead to a lot of waste.
