DIRECTV Remote Controls RC73x10 Editorial Review
The DIRECTV RC73 IR/RF Remote Control has garnered a mixed reception among customers, highlighting both its effectiveness and some frustrating limitations. Users frequently commend its performance as an exact replacement for their existing remotes, appreciating the great price point that makes it an appealing choice compared to other sellers. Many reviews emphasize satisfaction with the remote's functionality when controlling the DIRECTV equipment, leading to an overall positive experience for those specifically looking for a direct substitute. However, the remote has significant drawbacks, primarily its inability to be programmed using the 5-digit TV codes provided by DirecTV. This has led to disappointment for some customers who expected multi-device programming capabilities. Users also reported frustrations with the lack of features, such as a button to switch audio languages easily, which requires navigating through the entire menu. The detailed programming instructions appear to be inadequate for some, resulting in unsuccessful attempts to use the remote with their TVs. Overall, while the DIRECTV RC73 remote is celebrated for its affordability and effectiveness with the main set-top box, it falls short in versatility and usability when it comes to integrating with other devices. **
